This is a test panel for a project on the rear doors on a T5, the brief was it must scare young children....truth is it scares me and I painted it!!!!!!

Ripped metal that exposes the material behind is a very popular request. Here the test panel shows how correct shading will make you think you could cut yourself on those edges. Make the airbrush trick the eye.

Silver surfer, just black and white. This was on a veneered background.
Quite a small design ( 30cm x 20cm ) so light on detail to achive impact. The larger you get the more detail you can add.

Not granite, and not a skull carved out of it, but some clever shading. Airbrush the damp runs, makes it seem real.

One the most fun things to airbrush, and when it goes right a look just like the real thing.
Correct shade on the cloth and the nails manage to deceive the eye to thinking it is
standing out.

Here we have the floating chequers with a rose vine twisting through.This higlights the depth of the design.
If you look close you can see that the black squares have a woven efect to give a llitle more depth, without swamping the look.

Here is a test panel to show a light background image.
Black panel with a metalic black/silver of a closeup of guitar beihng played, this gives a ghost image that can only realy be seen when it catches the light, The background will apear dark until you get close. Nice effect but hard to you know you have right untill final top coat!!!
The fake photos in the forground are all airbrushed by hand.
